The questions we are asked first.
Usually by an adviser, an architect or a family office before we ever meet the client. Here they are, answered plainly. Select a question to read the answer.
Either. We design and build complete homes, and we also join projects that already have a builder, to deliver the cinema, the lighting, the network, the security or the whole technical layer. What we will not do is take a slice of a project and disappear: whatever we take on, we design, install, commission and look after.
No. We slot into whatever team you already have: drawings in your architect's formats, a seat at design team meetings, and cable routes, plant space and ceiling voids agreed on paper rather than argued about on site. If the contractor is yours, we work to their programme as the specialist for our part of the job, and we are used to being the easiest trade on site.
We never talk about price until we have seen the job. Every home is different, so every project is priced on its own terms: a conversation, a visit, then a written proposal for the next stage only, so you are never asked to commit to more than you can see. When a price is given it is written down, tied to a defined scope, and does not move unless the scope does.
As early as possible, ideally at the brief. Plant rooms, cinema structure, acoustic isolation, cable routes and lighting positions are cheap to get right on paper and expensive to get right after the ceilings have closed. That said, we are used to arriving late and making it work.
Yes, before any details are exchanged, and we are happy to work under yours. Our staff and approved contractors are bound by the same terms, drawings live on secure systems, and nothing about your home is photographed, published or used as a reference without your written consent. No signage, no marked vehicles, no address in our paperwork: just say so.
From our studio in Epsom, Surrey, across London and the Home Counties, and internationally by arrangement. Our own engineers travel; for second homes abroad we design and commission ourselves, with a vetted local contractor for the statutory work under our supervision.
We stay. Remote monitoring tells us about a fault before you do, and most are fixed without a visit. Software is kept current on a schedule, spares are held for the systems that matter, and an annual service recalibrates the cinema, the lighting and the network. We train household staff, and for as long as you own the home there is one number that is answered.
