About MediaMax
It started with one house, on one street.
MediaMax was never planned. It grew out of a favour, a road full of curious neighbours, and a founder who could not stop taking things apart. Select a chapter to read on.

How MediaMax began

The favour
Daniel was running a property company with his own father at the time, and a friend asked him to take on the audio-visual and electrical side of the rebuild. The reason, as the friend put it, was that Daniel's bedroom was an Aladdin's cave when it came to technology.

The street
Within a year he was designing, installing and fixing systems up and down his own road. Word travelled the way it does in a good street: one finished house at a time.

Developers, then offices
Developers and private clients followed, across the south of England from Poole to central and north London, and a villa in Marbella. Then commercial fit-outs: fibre, leased lines, telephone systems, Cisco Webex. The discipline of the office network came home with him, and has stayed.

2012
The work had outgrown the property company. MediaMax Limited was incorporated so that every part of it, from purchasing to warranties to the name on the contract, sat in one place and answered to one standard.

Can you do more?
A garden room. Then an extension. Then the care of the whole house, and then complete new builds. A working life on site had shown Daniel how often technology was the afterthought: cables missed, ceilings closed too soon, opportunities lost, systems retrofitted at twice the cost. The answer was to design and build the whole thing properly, from the start.

Today
MediaMax takes the project from the first drawing to the day you move in, and looks after it afterwards. The client has one point of call, and it is always one of the MediaMax team. The buck stops with us. We think that is exactly what clients want.

Daniel founded MediaMax in 2012 out of a lifelong passion for all things electrical, and for one idea: that the technology in a home should be designed in from the first drawing, never bolted on at the end.
A builder by trade and an engineer by instinct, he still leads every MediaMax project personally, from the brief to the last calibration.

Our own technology engineers design, install and commission every system in the home, then stay on to look after it for years.
Approved contractors
Groundworks to joinery, delivered by contractors we have vetted, or by the contractors you recommend, brought onto the same programme. Managed by us, answerable to us.
MediaMax Limited is a DES Group company. DES Group is the umbrella under which MediaMax sits. MediaMax leads and controls your project from start to finish, and can draw on the people, trades and resources of the other companies in the group whenever a project calls for them.
