How we handle your information.
MediaMax Limited (company number 07999069, registered office Beacon House, South Road, Weybridge, Surrey KT13 9DZ) is the data controller for personal information received through this website.
What we collect
- Enquiries. If you use the enquiry form or email us, we receive the details you choose to give: your name, email address, telephone number, and what you tell us about your home and project. The enquiry we receive also records the IP address it was sent from, which we use only to deal with misuse of the form.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of request) for security and to keep the site running.
This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not fingerprint you and does not follow you to other sites; it is switched off entirely if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. When you send an enquiry we email you a short acknowledgement at the address you gave. The enquiry form uses an invisible human check that runs in your browser, and, when enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile, which may set a functional cookie of its own solely to tell people from automated software. If anything else changes, this page will say so.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To keep the site secure and available. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running the site safely.
- To count visits in aggregate, so we can see which parts of the site are read and improve it. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for marketing lists. We will not add you to a mailing list because you enquired.
Who sees it
Your enquiry is read by the directors of MediaMax Limited and the small team who handle new projects. The service providers that process data on our behalf are our website host, our email provider, Cloudflare (which counts visits and runs the enquiry form's human check) and, where we use one, the provider of our enquiry form service. Each acts under contract and on our instructions. We do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months of our last contact. If we go on to work together, your details become part of the project record and are kept for as long as we look after your home, then for the period required for our legal, tax and insurance obligations.
Where it is held
Our systems are hosted in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, it does so under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, and to provide a copy of it; to correct information that is inaccurate; to delete it; to restrict or object to how we use it; and, where applicable, to provide it in a portable form. To exercise any of these rights, email info@mediamax.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, although we would welcome the chance to put things right first.
