How we handle your information.
MediaMax Limited (company number 07999069, registered office Beacon House, South Road, Weybridge, Surrey KT13 9DZ) is the data controller for personal information received through this website. Discretion is the basis of our business, and that extends to how we treat your data.
What we collect
- Enquiries. If you use the enquiry form or email us, we receive the details you choose to give: your name, email address, telephone number, and what you tell us about your home and project.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of request) for security and to keep the site running.
This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising, and does not run third-party analytics. If that changes, this page will say so.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To keep the site secure and available. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running the site safely.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for marketing lists. We will not add you to a mailing list because you enquired.
Who sees it
Your enquiry is read by the directors of MediaMax Limited and the small team who handle new projects. The service providers that process data on our behalf are our website host, our email provider and, where we use one, the provider of our enquiry form service. Each acts under contract and on our instructions. We do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months of our last contact. If we go on to work together, your details become part of the project record and are kept for as long as we look after your home, then for the period required for our legal, tax and insurance obligations.
Where it is held
Our systems are hosted in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, it does so under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, and to provide a copy of it; to correct information that is inaccurate; to delete it; to restrict or object to how we use it; and, where applicable, to provide it in a portable form. To exercise any of these rights, email info@mediamax.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, although we would welcome the chance to put things right first.
